I got a ticket for riding my spooky a little while back, thought i would share the schematics of the situation. Basically I'm approaching a red light that just turned so there were no cars on my left, naturally I'm in the bike lane. I can easily see that across the crosswalk there is no one coming and i have a clear right turn. Well theres a pig at the green that just turned and i saw him but thought nothing of it. There were two in the car and they pulled me over said i went \"SCREAMING\" around the corner at 15 mph!!! I can peddle my stache model (which is dam heavy) an easy 24 mph. When i tried to argue they said there's two of us do you really want to argue, guy was more interested in the bike than in my background and knew of Spooky tooth. Fat bastard still wrote me a ticket after talking to me for twenty minutes about building, mpg, top speeds. Running a red light. Running a red light on a bicycle eh? 95 bucks i had to pay in court and if i wanted to fight it the deposit bail would have been 500. they were jealous and that's all. I told him he was too heavy to go over 20, so hopefully i effed up his day too.

Denver CO...I have my bike about 6 weeks now...I do not know if you all are familiar with Denver but this is scooter heaven...Denver is very friendly with two wheelers...motorized or not...we are legally allowed to go 30 mph here...50cc and under is a motorized bicycle...just have to get a registration sticker from the state...$5.25 for three years...all done by mail...I have been riding and have passed many cops...even stuck at a light next to one and not even a blip on the radar...most people are curious and want to know where/how to get one...my only bad experience was some old man yelling at me for riding in the bike lane...he said he was going to call the cops on me...I handed him the phone and pointed to my registration sticker...the cyclists were even passing me...I was going no more than 12-15 MPH...still breaking in the engine...no helmet law here either...but I wear one when I ride...love my ride...barely use my car anymore...I also went to the library and worked with the librarian to find all the laws...motorized bicycles are well defined in the law here...even the registration sticker says motorized bicycle...all the kids in the neighborhood love when I come whizzing by...makes their day...
