No problem with cops in the Denver area, so far.. 1 year, 7 months ago #4376

They do have a new fleet of street bikes, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes for some reason? I haven't came across any of them yet (while riding). The normal patrol vehicles keep on driving.

I've seen man-powered bicycles go faster than myself most often, and I just don't understand how they feel so entitled to the bike trails. As if their tax money is better than mine. I think they're just cranky because they're winded as hell, and think it's wrong to put so much effort forth - while I putt along smoking a cigarette.

I usually tell them that I like going on bike rides... I just don't like to pedal.

(More problems with the heckling tight wearers than cops)

hopefully the cops in the Denver metro area will stay "cool" and leave the motor-bicyclists alone

I am in the Denver Metro area and have had no problems with the cops...pull up right next to them at a light and not even a blink...I do have the Colorado motorized bicycle sticker and park right in the bike racks...never a problem...I have had my bike for a year now...I have ridden my bike right in the city (Denver) too and not a problem...this is a very two wheeled (powered or unpowered) friendly town...many scooters in this town that go a lot faster than me and never seen any of them pulled over either...I ride my MB in the bike lanes too...but not the multiuse paths...that would be illegal by Denver/CO law...the only problem I have ever had was some old man yelling at me for riding in the bike lanes...I even came to a complete stop to let him cross the street...I tried to explain to him that this was legal...but he kept saying you have a motor and should be in the street...I handed him my phone to call the cops...he backed off...and I went on my way....
