Last night around dusk, I was going somewhere on my motorized bicycle. I had front and rear lights on in the strobe mode. On the opposite lane was an unmarked cop giving someone a ticket. He noticed me and waved his hand at me with a dirty look. I turned around and rode up to him. He asked me for license and registration. I explained I didn't require them. He said I did. Every point I made he countered with the OLD law. He said I smelled like I had been drinking alcohol and how much did I have today? I don't drink alcohol.I offered a breathalizer and he turned down my offer.I told him about September 21st, etc. He even said I was not allowed to have the strobe function (old rule). He wasn't done giving the ticket to the car so he got his camera and took two pictures of the bike and took my address and phone #. As I was leaving he said don't use the motor and he would probably be over later to arrest me. I do not know what to do. I hope he would have looked up the law and everything will be forgotten. I will now carry a copy of the house bill in my pocket.

Actually no, I believe the cop checked the regs that night or next day. Maybe he felt bad about it, probably not. No other cops bother me at all.

Sounds like a gung ho happy hassle cop who's mamma didn't give him enough attention as a child.

I commendyou for being so patient with him...."probably come arrest you later" are you kidding?

You should have gotten his badge no. and name and called the station and talked to his supervisor, especially about the alcohol comment.

i told you that cops blow dog it is a fact that almost 70% of oinkers come from broken homes and have an over whelming desire to have control i say fire half of all the cops in the u.s. and the the remaining 50% can then focus on real crimes there is a shitload of cops with nothing better to do than be a bully.
