TOPIC: Air less Tube's

Air less Tube's 4 years, 7 months ago #152

Has anybody used air less tubes? I think they are filled with some kind of gel or silicone. Just wondering if they are as good as they say and worth getting.

Never seen air less tubes....I've seen slime filled tubes- 6-8 bucks each (good, but not great) and \"thorn proof\" tubes...10 bucks apiece, but apperently bullet proof.

I'd opt for the latter.

The only airless tube experience I've had was with solid rubber ones, and they SUCKED! The kept rolling off the rims!

I have had a set of Walmart airless tubes or inserts for about 3 months and have not had any problems. they are heavier than regular tubes and rougher riding but not something you can't get used to . I have a rack mount and did not want to have to take that motor off if I had a flat riding in new mexico desert or wherever. If you follow
the installation instructions(use plenty of soapy water) you should have no problems. I have 26\" wheels with cheap Kenda MTB tires
