Anyone having trouble with the bent seat post bending? I had one with out the support and that one bent down. So I would resolve it with purchase one with the brace. Now that one is bending below the brace anyone has any repair suggestions?

No suggestions here. Have wondered if I'll ever want the bent post, so this post is a little discouraging-

how much do you weigh, and is this from normal riding?

I want a sprung shock post, if the angle is otherwise satisfactory (I just ordered a bike and motor kit), so I have one other question:

What is the standard seatpost diameter for a normal cruiser bike?- the posts here are advertised at 1", but most sites use milimeters: ie 25.4on the oversized schwinn I have.

What is the size of a cruiser tube?

If I cant get suspension, I'd probably look for alloy.

I'm pretty heavy and yes it was for 9 mi round trip, most of the bending came from bumps in the road. I liked the seat post gives lots of leg room, the handle bars will not hit your knees. I've seen some post with two bars welded together one vertical and one horizontal. As for the diameter your right on except for the seat itself has a different dia. Good Luck and have a nice day...

Ever think of getting a bananna seat? You can sit way back on them, and the sissy bar support is three pointed. They used to make really tall sissy bars in the back, but I'm not sure they're available- e-bay maybe, if you need height.

What I was asking was what is a standard cruiser seatpost then in milimeters?

And then it dawned on me Since an inch is 2.54 centimeters, and a centimeter is 10 milimeters, then an inch is 25.4 milimeters.

So I guess my Schwinn is standard cruiser sizing. A cruiser and motor are still on the way here, all due by Tuesday. I was going to check that diameter, but I suspect it will be the same 1 inch/25.4 diameter.

And I'll probably either get a bent post if I need more room, or a sprung alloy post if I dont.
