I see there's a tire liner for sale in the parts section. Is that installed between the tire and tube?
What holds it in place? How effective is it? I've had a flat as the result of my rim/spoke rubbing a hole thru the tube. Is that what this is designed for?

Do you have any super bad ass tubes/ tires that can really stand up to high mileage and broken glass?

Crack pot, I use old tube's as liner's. Between the tire and tube, I've been doing it since I was a kid and have had real good luck. I have not had a flat in years. I've seen at walmart airless tube's, I've put them on my Nephew's Bmx bike and they work great. But I have not used them on my bike because I like to change my tire pressure around. They are 20 bucks each. When I was a kid I even used old tire's as liner's. I would cut the side walls out, but it makes your tire heavy and you have to be real carefull not to pinch your tube.

A tire liner goes between the tube and tire. A tire liner can be very effective if it's installed properly, but it can be a pain to install.

Fairracing31's idea of using old tubes is genius.
