I have been using Normans small headlight that he makes that runs off the white wire. (Norman is a moderator at Motorbicycling.com)
He makes a small and big light also tail light.
I have used several battery operated lights but if anybody knows me I go for some very long rides and have been left in the dark when the battery's go dead. Also, some of them have just fallen apart after miles and miles of bumps and vibration.
Normans light is built very well and I can see it out lasting the store bought lights, and running it off the motor with the white wire I never have to worry about being left in the dark out in the AZ desert.
He's lights are VERY affordable and if you add the savings of not having to buy battery's it is one heck of a deal.
He's light works extremely well, not only lighting up the road in front of you, but making you visible to traffic.
