Used 2 stroke fully syn outboard oil. gummed up??? 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi, I couldn't find two stroke motorcycle oil in town and found this fully syn outboard motor oil at wal mart. ... after two tanks at 30:1 Couldn't get the engine to turn over. I thought it was the right oil, think maybe I screwed up... Went to the honda shop got the right oil drained the tank and cleaned the carb. put in new plug and eventually got it running. last night on the third plug got it going again. this am won't turn over. cleaned the plug still won't go. black build up on plug... tried a little sand paper still won't go. Wanted to release the tension on the clutch so could just ride as a bike for now and there is oil and gas in the clutch housing. Confused... need help. This is a new engine with a 90 day on it but am not sure if I screwed up the engine or how to fix it.

I thought the mix was 20 to 1, not 30 to 1?

I had the same problem with outboard full synthetic. Its a bad Idea. I had to drain the carb an the tank and flush with clean gas. I seized up a 2 stroke 80cc motor on outboard oil as well
