So occasionally when I ride, the bike starts squeaking.
The squeaking stops when I pull the clutch all the way in, but having the clutch locked with the button does not stop the noise. After riding a little bit while its squeaking (when it starts squeaking I pull the clutch all the way in so that it stops the squeaking), it goes away.
It just comes and goes. Could it mean that the clutch cable is getting lose or something?
Can anybody help figure out why this happens?
EDIT: after looking around, I found some posts on a different website which state that this happens frequently on such kits. The solution was to open the clutch plate, take the dowel sticking out of the clutch, and adding a tiny bit of grease to it. It also said to add some grease to some ball if it falls out, and add grease to the pressure plates.
Can anyone post/ find pictures of an open clutch plate with all these parts labeled? (pressure plate, bearing, etc?)
Also what kind of grease should I use to fix the squeaking?
Thanks in advance.
